It was 1:30am Tuesday when an unwelcome La Follette man, not an employee, was charged with PI

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- A call about a suspicious male harassing workers sent La Follette Police Patrol Officer Aidyn Fudala to Domino’s on last Tuesday around 1:30 am. When Officer Fudala arrived, he made contact with a male matching the description he had been given.

LPD’s Fudala was able to identify the suspect as James Blaine Lawson. According to a report from the LaFollette Police Department, Officer Fudala observed erratic behavior and slurred speech that led the officer to believe Lawson was under the influence of a stimulant.

A search of Lawson revealed what Lawson described as a joint and clear plastic baggie that were identified as Marijuana. According to the report, Lawson admitted to smoking some of the substance as well as being under the influence of another substance that Patrolman Fudala was not able to identify because of Lawson’s impaired speech.

Lawson, 57, 8th Street, La Follette was charged with schedule VI simple possession and public intoxication. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-08/18/2025-6AM)
