CAMPBELL COUNTY, TN. (WLAF)- Pets are part of our families. The pets featured each week need a family. This week is Lucy 1.
Lucy 1 is about a year old and weighs in at a petite 62 lb. Lucy is one of the lucky dogs at the shelter. She has a virtual foster parent through the Homeward Bound Project. She gets some precious one on one time, treats, and outings. Her virtual foster parent said “Lucy is a super good girl, she walks well on a leash, friendly with men and women, loved the car, and even sat when asked. I think with a little more time she will be a little less shy- still learning how to meet new dogs. And the thing I love most is she is a leaner- leans in for a little extra contact.”

Lucy is ready for her forever home.
The shelter has two Lucys, so if you’re interested in this dog, ask about Lucy 1.
If you cannot adopt, consider fostering. If you can’t have more pets, consider joining the new virtual fostering program, Homeward Bound Project.
The shelter can use donations of time, pet food, cleaning supplies, office supplies, toys, blankets, and treats.
Currently the shelter is offering name your adoption fee on all adult dogs. Your adopted dog will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested, up to date on flea/tick preventive, and microchipped.
If you would like to adopt Lucy 1, or any pet, the adoption center is open Tues. through Sat. from noon until 5:30pm. The center is located 749 Towe String Road, Jacksboro and can be reached at 423-566-8018.
