“We stay ready,” said LUB’s Richard Goodman as he stood by a bay door at LUB on Sunday morning

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – One of the largest winter storms to hit Campbell County in a while is expected to develop late Sunday night prompting notice of a WINTER STORM WARNING from 1am Monday through Tuesday at 7am. Near zero temperatures will follow early week snow making for a challenging week for all concerned, in particular for first responders and crews from the highway departments and LUB.

“I guess I’ll be pushing snow on my birthday come Monday,” said Casey Boshears, Director of Public Works for La Follette.

It’s the Sunday morning lull before the storm for Campbell Highway Dept. crews and plow trucks.

Gear, including hard hats, and trucks sit ready for crews inside LUB headquarters.

These plow trucks will be joined by several pick-up trucks that are also equipped with plows.

All was quiet at LUB on Sunday morning ahead of an anticipated winter storm.
