Water service to the east side of La Follette and the valley was restored by lunch time Wednesday

It was about a six hour turn-a-round from no water to water flowing as a water line broke.
LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Long before daybreak Wednesday, a La Follette Utilities Board (LUB) crew was clocked-in and on the job. The 6am job site was on the edge of the east side Dollar General Store parking lot as water flowed across the parking lot and to the creek below the store.

“This is the main line that goes up the valley, and it also serves the La Follette Elementary School,” said Cobie Herrin, LUB’s Water Supervisor.

The LUB crew got to the bottom of the problem.
The crew of Herrin, Wayne Ward, Tyler Pierce, David Wilson, Joe Farmer, Jason Russell, Tyler Green, Luke Marlow, Darrell Riggs, Adam Wilson, Dalton Phillips and Mitch Mullins had the water restored by noon.

Cobie Herrin, LUB’s Water Supervisor, takes his usual position operating the back hoe.
