Great strides have been made in restoring power to those still affected by Tuesday’s severe weather

LUB outages resulting from the recent severe storm have come from more than 13,000 on Tuesday evening to 187 earlier today.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- “As of 8:50 a.m., we still have 187 customers out of power,” said Regina Kennedy, General Manager of La Follette Utilities Board.

It’s not been the trees, but the size of the trees that is making clean up and power restoration so challenging.

Crews are continuing to work to restore power in the Davis Chapel, White Oak, and Speedwell/valley areas, along with individual customers who may have had to make home repairs prior to their power being restored, according to Kennedy. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED- 08/01/2024-9:30AM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF LUB)
