‘We knew it had to be drugs, because there was so much foot traffic’- a neighbor

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Just after 7am, the La Follette Police Narcotics Unit and Special Response Team raided a home near the La Follette Middle School. “This investigation into the sale of heroin has been going on for about two months,” said La Follette Chief of Police Matthew Forsyth.

A narcotics search warrant was executed with 44-year- old Angela Allison Parks Ausmus as the target. Neighbors reported seeing a lot of foot traffic to and from the home at 123 East Morningside Park.

The target home at 123 East Morningside Park is located in one of La Follette’s nicest neighborhoods.

“That girl has a boyfriend that lives there, too. He’s the ring leader in all this,” said a neighbor, “and I’m glad the police are putting a stop to this.”

First responders with the La Follette Fire Department were called to the home along with Animal Control and Codes Enforcement.

An elderly male is the homeowner and is not a supect.

“Ausmus was the only person arrested during today’s raid. She’s charged with schedule I Heroin for resale, felony drug paraphernalia. Codes enforcement posted the house to be repaired,” said the chief. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-06/04/2025-8:30AM)
