Lacie Hatmaker’s poster (below) is on its way to the state competition

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Annually, the Campbell County Lions Club sponsors the Peace Poster contest and encourages students at the Jacksboro and Lafollette Middle Schools to participate in the contest.
Last Monday evening, the local Lions Club announced the winners.
Lions Club members Bill McDonald and Martha Wells presented the winners from both school their prizes, 3rd place is $100.00, 2nd place $200.00 and 1st place is $300.00.
This years theme was Dare to Dream.
Lafollette Middle School winners were Jada Mitchell ( 3rd place ), Jaclyn Lemons ( 2nd place ), and Tayler Draughn took 1st place.
Jacksboro Middle School winners were Bishop Demont ( 3rd place ), Jaren Smith (2nd place ), and Lacie Hatmaker, who was not present claimed 1st place.

Tayler Draughn is the first place finisher for LMS.

Demott Bishop takes third place for JMS.

The art creation from Jada Mitchell with LMS, unable to attend, is showcased above.

Second place at LMS goes to Jaclyn Lemons.

Jaren Smith claimed second place for JMS.
Lacie won 1st place locally, and her picture was sent to the district level and won 1st place there. Her poster has be sent on to the state level which will be voted upon on May 3 – 5. Best of luck to Lacie! (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 04/30/2024-6AM)
