Police respond to Weigel’s on call of a person with a gun

La Follette Police, Campbell Sheriff, Tennessee Highway Patrol officers respond to scene

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- It was a tense half hour for those at Weigel’s and traveling down the four lane just after 3pm Friday. “We had a female caller to E-911 saying somebody near Weigel’s was pointing a gun at someone. However, she could not give us a description of anyone nor a vehicle. Our officers along with County Deputies and THP Troopers combed the area and could not find anyone,” said La Follette Police Captain Charles Duff. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-10/10/2025-4PM)
