Laura “Sue” Davis Simpson age 82 of Caryville, went home to be with her Lord on February 13, 2024. She was born on March 30, 1941, to the late Millard “Pigeye” Blackwell and Gladys Sheffield Blackwell. Sue was a member of Fincastle Church of God. She enjoyed going to church, traveling, sight seeing East Tennessee, and visiting other churches when she was not attending hers.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband Billy Davis and her brother Merle Blackwell.

Sue is survived by her loving husband Luster Simpson of Caryville; daughter Debbie Spencer and husband Tony of Jacksboro; brother Ray Blackwell and wife Jenny of Caryville; stepchildren Pam Dillard, Ricky Simpson and wife Robin, Tony Simpson and wife Eric, Cindy Smith, and Stephanie Jackson and husband Douglas; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several other family and friends.

A visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, February 16, 2024, in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home, 305 E. Beech Street LaFollette, with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Jasper Walden and Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:15 AM on Saturday, February 17, 2024, to go in funeral procession for am 11:00 AM interment at Campbell Memorial Gardens.
