BEAN STATION, TN (WLAF) – The LaFollette 8U coach-pitch baseball All-Stars led by coaches Robby Allen, Chevy Evans, and Justin Wilson were won win away from advancing to the district games at Maryville.

LaFollette took the field at Bean Station against Grainger Co. in a win-or-go home match up. The All-Stars started off hot, taking an early 4-1 lead.

Unfortunately the All-Stars let that lead slip away. Grainger came back and took the game away from LaFollette, winning 8-6. Coach Justin Wilson said that the “kids played with a lot of heart.” However, they came just short, finishing third in the area tourney.

This marks the end of the impressive season for the 8U All-Stars.
