LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Thursday afternoon the LaFollette City Council met in an adjourned session to finalize the 2025-26 budget. The total of the proposed budget is $21,067,702. The council approved the budget including items on the wish list which totals $107,236.

Items on the wish list are two police vehicles ($162,000), radios ($38,000), Flock cameras ($18,750), paint for pickleball court ($6,900), fencing for basketball and pickleball ($23,000), outside basketball goal ($5,000) and two responder pick-up trucks $107,236, faster internet service for the library ($1,800), 2500 series truck-Silverado or Ford F250 ($48,000) and a new SUV for the city administrator ($42,400).

Other items approved at the meeting were Resolution 2025-13 amending the 2024-25 budget, approval to open a new checking account at Peoples Bank of the South for capital project funds #3 grants.
