JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – The Campbell Lady Cougars, 4 and 4 on the season, were originally slated to participate in the Music City Hoopfest for their 2025 Christmas tournament. This was a three-day tourney on the campus of Page High School at Franklin.

However, the Lady Cougars have changed course for their Christmas season.

“Due to injury and illness, we have decided to cancel the Nashville trip,” said Head Coach Jason Kitts. Those Lady Cougars’ injuries consist of Jayden Kitts and Alexa York, along with Preslee Chapman, who has recently come back from a thumb injury.

“Our goal is just to try to recover, get healthy, and have some good team bonding. We are gonna try to make up the missed game with Barbourville from last Friday. We’ll possibly make that up during the last week of December,” said Kitts.

When a final decision is made regarding the makeup of the Barbourville game, you’ll find out first right here from WLAF. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED 12-15-25 6AM – PHOTOS COURTESTY OF WLAF’S MATTHEW MOORE)
