Central wins going away 63-51

KNOXVILLE, TN (WLAF)- It was a nip and tuck night for Campbell and Central until the three-minute mark of the game. That’s when Campbell went cold, and Central scored the final 12 points.
Campbell and Central had each other right where they wanted; tied at 51 with 3:06 left in the game. However, that’s where the game changed as Central shutout the Lady Cougars down the stretch to win 63-51.
The one glaring stat came at the free throw line as Central all but doubled Campbell’s free tosses 30 to 16. Central made 23 of its free throws as Campbell hit 14.
Preslee Chapman’s 17 points were tops for the Lady Cougars as Reagan Davis was also in double-figures with 10. Eight points each came from Taraji Abernathy and Addy Coleman. Kaylee Albright totaled five points with three coming from Karlie Allen.

The perk from winning Thursday’s game with Central was that the winner will play its first region game, Fri., Feb. 27, at home. The loss puts the Lady Cougars on the road that night on a District 4 opponents home court likely Bearden or Farragut.
Campbell takes a 13 & 10 mark into Monday’s third place game in the District 3-AAAA Tournament against Karns at Halls. Tip time is 6pm. WLAF will send you all the live televised and radio coverage with the Voice of the Cougars Josh Parker.
Mondays live telecast is presented by Kristy and Brian Osborn. “These girls have worked so hard, and this is another way we can show our support for them,” said Brian Osborn.

It’s a radio-television-website-social media broadcast Monday night, and you are invited to join the “Voice of the Cougars” Josh Parker for all the fun over WLAF of Campbell’s third place game in the District 3-AAAA at Halls.
