Six potential council candidates in La Follette’s November race as Tyler Dumont requests a petition
JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Activity surrounding the City of La Follette and The Town of Caryville November elections continues. On Monday, Tyler Dumont requested a petition to run for La Follette council.
Monday, June 17, was the first day to pick up a petition to run in the November election, and 14 petitions have been requested so far. The deadline to qualify is Thu., Aug. 15, at noon.
ELECTION INFORMATION FOR NOVEMBER 2024 RACE
November (incumbent)
The City of La Follette and the Town of Caryville have seven combined posts to be filled. Caryville will elect a mayor (Bobby Stooksbury) and three aldermen; Ward 1 (Patrick Pebley), Ward 2 (Eric Jones) and Ward 3 (Lloyd Lawson). Voters in the City of La Follette will elect a mayor (Cliff Jennings) and two council members (Phillip Farmer and Wayne Kitts). Incumbents are in parentheses.
Caryville Mayor Bobby Stooksbury announced in May that he will not seek re-election.
