BEAN STATION, TN (WLAF) – The La Follette 8U (age eight and under) baseball All-Stars took on Mooresburg/Bean Station-Hancock County (MBSHC) on Tuesday night. The victorious team would advance to the district games at Maryville.

According to coach and former Cougar Justin Wilson, it was a really good game. Unfortunately for La Follette, host team MBSHC left the ball field with a 10-4 victory.

However, the post season isn’t over for the All-Stars. On Thursday, La Follette will play in the losers bracket championship against Grainger County, who defeated Union County to make it to the final elimination game.

It’s now win or go home for both La Follette and GC; the winner advances along with MBSHC to the Maryville district games. The La Follette All-Stars face Grainger on Thursday at 6pm at Bean Station. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED 06/19/2024-6AM)
