JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Since age four, Kinsley Carroll has been cheering and dancing. Now, at age 17, she’s ready to cheer at the collegiate level at Lincoln Memorial University, LMU, at Harrogate. On Monday afternoon, along with family, friends, teammates and coaches, the Campbell High senior committed to the Railsplitters.

“She came in as a freshman and was so bubbly, and I thought that would die down. It never did,” said Bre Price, Carroll’s Campbell County High coach. Price praised Carroll’s enthusiasm describing it as contagious as she was always there to encourage her teammates,” said Coach Price.

It was quite the turnout for Kinsley Carroll’s scholarship signing on Tuesday afternoon at Brown Gym.

From competitive cheer during elementary school to team cheer at Jacksboro Middle School and then four years at Campbell High, Carroll has certainly been dedicated, according to her father, John Carroll. “I’m pretty excited and very proud,” said John Carroll. He was also proud to point out that Kinsley will be studying large animal sciences at LMU.

Kinsley Carroll is officially an LMU Railsplitter.

“It’s so exciting, and I am so proud of her. Since age four, she’s been dancing with her aunt, Cara Beth, the former Campbell cheer coach, at Twist and Shout,” said Kinsley’s mother, Cheryl Heatherly.

“I’m proud of you, excited for you and know you will be an asset at LMU,” said Coach Price. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 04/30/2024-6AM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF WLAF’S CHARLIE HUTSON)
