Mrs. Katherine Eash
Age 74 of Middlebury, passed away at 4:14 pm on Sunday at her residenceÂ
after a brief illness. Â She was born on April 1, 1945 in Jellico, TN, to Nelson and Mary Â
Ida (Leach) Siler. On January 21, 1967 in Goshen she married Ray Eash, he survives.Â
Survivors in addition to her husband are a son, James (Beth) Eash of Middlebury; twoÂ
daughters, Sharon Ewing of Goshen, Teresa (Al) Hartman of Elkhart; nineÂ
grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marjorie (Ray) Evans ofÂ
Clairfield, TN, Margaret (Paul) Coker of Caryville, TN, Sherry (Randy) Osborne ofÂ
Lafollette, TN; three brothers, Tom Siler of Goshen, James (JoAnn) Siler of Clairfield,Â
TN, Milford (Nina) Siler of Duff, TN; a special niece, Rosetta Yoder and a specialÂ
nephew, Kenton Eash.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, PhyllisÂ
Siler and Elizabeth Nichols; and a sister in law, Ruby Miller. Katherine was aÂ
homemaker and was a previous member of the Moose Auxiliary and the Elks Club.Â
​Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Thursday, September 12, atÂ
Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street Middlebury. Funeral services willÂ
be at 9:30 am on Friday, September 13, also at the funeral home. Services will beÂ
conducted by her great-nephew, Kevin Yoder. Burial will be in Thomas Cemetery,Â
Goshen.
