Karen Ponder Heatherly, age 72 of Jacksboro passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024. She
was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church. She was a teacher in the public school system,
having retired from Clinton Elementary School. She is preceded in death by parents James
Nelson and Betty Dockery Ponder.

Husband: Dennis Heatherly
Daughter: Denise and Mike Lowry
Grandchildren: Michael Dennis Lowry, Kaylin Elizabeth Lowry.
Brother: James Nelson Ponder II
Sister: Cathy Burry
Along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Friday November 29th, at Lakeview Baptist Church
with funeral service to follow at 7 PM. Rev. Roger Stanley and Rev. Shane Pitman officiating.
Family and friends will meet 12:15 PM Saturday, November 30th at Cross-Smith Funeral Home
and proceed to Bakers Forge Cemetery for 1 PM graveside service and interment.
