Judy Carolyn Housley, age 81, of West Harrison, IN, passed away suddenly on the morning of Saturday, October 5, 2024. She was born on May 8, 1943, in LaFollette, TN to Robert & Carrie Bell Jones. Judy married the love of her life, James Melton “JM” Housley on October 28, 1961, in Richmond, IN and went on to raise their loving children in the Cincinnati, OH area. Helping family and friends came naturally to Judy and allowed her family the opportunity to create lifelong friends and memories. Judy and JM greatly enjoyed traveling and camping throughout their time together. After JM’s passing on November 8th, 2009, Judys greatest comfort and joy were her children and grandchildren. Judy was a warm sister and friend with her arms wide open to welcome you into her home, she was the loving and doating caretaker for her family, and she was the sweet Mamaw to all her adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Carrie Bell Jones; husband, James “JM” Housley; son, James Robert Housley; brothers, Charlie, Roscoe, Harvey, William (Dee) and Howard Jones; sisters, Ethel Lee Baird, Georgia May Tingler, Helen Faye Dowell, Francis Nicole Shelek, Wilma Jean Williams, Edith (Bobby) Shipwash and Sandra (Sue) Moats; and her special great-grandpup, Annie. Judy is survived by her loving and doating daughter, Teresa C. Rodriguez; grandchildren: Aaron (Ashley) Martin, Alex Martin and Christy, James and Tyler Housley, great-grandchildren: Cooper, Maxwell, Aubrey, Raven, Mason, Gra, Camron, Hunter and Savannah; great-grandpup, Abigail and numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friend.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Martin Wilson Funeral Home, 305 E Beech St, LaFollette, TN 37766 with the funeral service to follow at 7 PM. Family and friends will meet on Sunday October 13, 2024 at 12:15 PM to go in funeral procession to Campbell County Memorial Garden for an 1 PM interment.
