Mr. Jimmy Arnold Finley, age 85 of Jacksboro passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026. He was a member of Mt. Paran Baptist Church. Mr. Finley was a proud US Army Veteran serving in Korea and Germany during his 8 years of Military service. He was a graduate of Lincoln Memorial University, and the University of Tennessee where he earned advanced degrees. Mr. Finley was a career Educator and Administrator where he served as Professor at Carson Newman College, and several other positions with the Campbell County Board of Education, including Director of Special Education, Director of Title I, Director of Federal Programs, and Assistant Director of Schools. He is preceded in death by grandson, Jake Finley; parents, Homer and Irene (Green) Finley; sister, Jean Finley; brothers, Homer Finley, Jr., Joe Finley, Roger Finley, and Jeff Finley.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mrs. Faye (Bullock) Finley; sons, Jimmy Finley, Jr. and wife, Rachel, and Jonathan Finley and wife, Susan; grandsons, Sam, Brandon, and Grant; granddaughters, Easton, Madison, Megan, and Morgan; brother, Jerry Finley; sister, Judy Reynolds and husband, Mike; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 6, 2026 from 11:00 AM – 12:15 PM at Walters Funeral Home Chapel. Military Honors will be conducted at 12:15 PM by the Honor Guard of Campbell County. Funeral Services will follow with Rev. Ron Williams officiating. Interment will be held at Powell Valley Cemetery. Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Jimmy Arnold Finley.
