Jacksboro’s regular monthly meetings to be last Monday of the month

Regular monthly meeting held on Thursday

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- On Thursday afternoon, the Jacksboro Board of Mayor and Aldermen met and completed the monthly business in about five minutes. All members of the board were present except Alderman Greg Cross.

The first item on the agenda was Ordinance # 139, changing the date and time of the monthly board meeting was approved. The ordinance changes the meeting date from the first Thursday of each month to the last Monday of each month at 2 pm. This was the final reading of the ordinance.

Two resignations were approved for the police department. The first was the resignation of James McCall as a full time officer. McCall will now become a part time officer. The next resignation was from Cody O’Mary.

Hiring James “Bucky” McCulley as a part time employee for the street department at a rate of $14/hr was approved. He will work Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

The next board meeting will be held on Monday, March 23,2 pm, at Town Hall. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-02/06/2026-6AM)
