JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – The Town of Jacksboro Board of Mayor and Aldermen met for the regular monthly meeting last week. Ordinance 131 had a second reading at the meeting, the ordinance raises the court cost by $100. Ordinance 132, amending the zoning ordinance from R1-B2 (General Business District) for a property on Eagle Bluff Rd, was approved.
The board hired new personnel for the town, first was Geneva Perkins as a library substitute, and Joshua Miracle was hired as a full time firefighter.
Off duty police officers were approved to work with Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT).
The board approved advertising for bids to replace a guardrail on Liberty Street.
