J. Dale Stooksbury, age 68, of Jacksboro passed away Monday, May 20, 2024, a longtime baker and restaurant owner in this area.  He enjoyed cooking and making everyone happy. He was well-known for his wonderful cakes and pies. He loved his family very much, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Jacksboro.  Preceded in death by Daughter: Addie Stooksbury, Parents: Lon Stooksbury and Minnie Jane Fritz, Brother: Jeff Stooksbury, mother of his children: Sharon Richardson Stooksbury Henry

Sons: Grey and wife Megan Stooksbury, John and wife Jessi Stooksbury

Grandchildren: Jack, Vivien and Ripley

Brother: Lonnie and wife Peyton Stooksbury

Sister: Mary Lee Hamilton

Sister-in-law: Nancy Beasley Farmer and husband Ed Farmer

Good Friend: Rich Henry

Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Friday, May 24th at Cross-Smith Funeral Home with funeral service to follow in Cross-Smith Chapel at 8 PM, Rev. Billy Smith officiating.  Family and friends will meet at 9:15 AM Saturday at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and proceed to Jacksboro Cemetery for 10 AM Interment.
