Arraignment set for this morning for Knoxville man

CARYVILLE, TN. (WLAF)- Detectives with the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office arrested John Warren Isley, 49, on Monday. He was arrested following an investigation into alleged narcotic activity on Tennessee Street in Caryville.

During the investigation, detectives allegedly observed what appeared to be a hand-to-hand narcotic transaction between a pedestrian and the driver of a Buick Verano.

Detectives stopped the Buick on Bruce Gap Road and conducted a search.

They allegedly discovered approximately 1.5 pounds of methamphetamine, 1,190 counterfeit Oxycodone pills suspected to contain Fentanyl, Suboxone, and various items classified as felony drug paraphernalia.

Additionally, $1,272.00 in cash, believed to be proceeds from narcotic sales, was seized, the report said.

Isley, allegedly had taken the vehicle without the owner’s permission. He was charged with felony possession of drug paraphernalia, manufacture/sell/delivery of schedule II controlled substance-Methamphetamine, manufacture/sell/delivery of schedule II controlled substance – Fentanyl, possession of schedule III controlled substance -Suboxone, driving while in possession of Methamphetamine, theft of property over $10,000.00, no driver’s license, financial responsibility law, and violation of drug free school zone.

Isley, of 224 Lynwood Avenue, Knoxville, remains housed in the Campbell County Jail this morning without bond. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED 8/28/2024- 6AM)
