Iretha Rutherford Asbury, 87, of Jacksboro, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 21, 2025. She was born May 9, 1938, in LaFollette, Tennessee.
Preceded in death by husband, Ned Asbury and parents, Connor Lee Rutherford, and Mary Elizabeth Shoupe Rutherford.
Survived by daughter Monica Asbury Baird and husband Don, Son, William Bradley Asbury, grand-children Christina Ann Garner and husband Gary of Greenback Tennessee, Anthony Wayne Baird of Commerce Georgia, Caleb Josiah Asbury of Knoxville Tennessee.
Iretha supported her husband and family by working at Imperial Reading (commonly known as the shirt factory). She enjoyed fishing and camping with her family, tending to her flowers in her yard and spending time with those she called her friends. She also enjoyed cooking and sharing her recipes with her friends. She loved to share Jesus and Bible scriptures with others and what Jesus did for her.
Iretha’s greatest accomplishments, shared with her husband, Ned, is that she was the Pastor/Bishop and Co-Founder of World Harvester Church in Caryville, Tennessee, for over 25 years. Not only did she impact the local and world communities for Jesus, but she made an impact on those she called friends and family.
Celebration of Life will be held at World Harvester Church 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 9, 2025, Dr. Tony Slay and Dr. John Pearson Officiating.

Monica, Brad and families, I am so sorry to hear of Iretha’s passing. She was always a joy when I spent time with her at Tennova.
She was a precious and special lady.
