JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Next week county commissioners will vote on an amendment to an Interlocal agreement between LaFollette Utility Board and Campbell County government regarding water line extension projects in the Cedar Creek communities. Commissioner Rusty Orick said he would carry the agreement amendment.

The county and LUB initially entered into the agreement in 2022, but it needs updated as the county has received additional ARPA funding and is appropriating some of these funds to be used to cover the anticipated cost increases in the Cedar Creek Communities water line extension projects.

Upon approval of the amendment to the agreement, Campbell County will issue a purchase order to LUB committing to provide an additional $1,233,874.74 of funding for the water line extension projects. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED- 08/13/2024-6AM)

  1. Still no water in parts of the flat hollow area that was promised and had the money for three years. I guess some other people are more important if we were out of state people it would already be done. One disappointed local. ( Nathan)
