LAFOLLETTE, TN. (WLAF)- On Sunday, around midnight, LaFollette Police Officer Jesse Ferguson was dispatched to the parking lot of Peoples Bank of the South downtown offices. There was a report of people allegedly using narcotics.
Ferguson found Theresa Ann Hunter in the bank’s parking lot. Â As Hunter got out of the vehicle, she took her purse and put it on the ground. Officers Justin Painter and Ferguson searched the vehicle and allegedly found a metal container holding a hypodermic needle, miscellaneous caps, and clear plastic baggies. She allowed police to search her purse, where a black eyeglass case containing two hypodermic needles, a glass pipe, a zip tie, tin foil used as a pipe, and a plastic baggie that contained a crystal-like substance was found, the report said. She allegedly said the crystal-like substance was Meth.
Hunter, 46, homeless, is charged with possession of schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
