‘It took about a couple of hours to get it totally extinguished-‘ RVFD Chief Dylan Roach

CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF)- Firefighters with the Ridgewood Volunteer Fire Department responded to the call of a structure fire Friday evening right before eight o’clock.

Ridgewood Volunteer Firefighters fight a hot fire on a hot evening.

“We had a structure fire this evening at 7:51pm. It was a single-wide mobile home in the area of the 1600 block of Highway 116, not far from the Cherry Bottom underpass,” said Ridgewood Fire Chief Dylan Roach.

The fire was extinguished by 9:30pm with firefighters clearing the scene and going back in service around 11pm.

It took firefighters the better part of two hours to extinguish the fire.
