Strong to severe storm potential looms late Sunday afternoon into Sunday night

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Mostly sunny early Thursday with some increasing cloudiness later. Warmer temperatures and low relative humidity continue. It’s another high fire danger day on Thursday. Relative humidity values will drop below 30 percent again this afternoon and with some wind gusts and dry fuels it will increase fire danger. With low chances of rain late tonight and Friday, fire danger will not be as concerning Friday compared to today.
Storms will move into Campbell County and the region late Sunday night into Monday. A lot of uncertainty still remains with their development and the timing, but some storms could be strong to severe. The main threat with these storms will be damaging winds.
