JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – On this Memorial Day as we remember and honor, the Campbell County Memorial Day Honor Guard program is set for Monday at 10am at the Veterans Memorial on the courthouse lawn. See the 2023 photo gallery HERE from WLAF’s Charlie Hutson.
J.T. Asbury, U-S Army, retired, honor guard chaplain, will open the ceremony with prayer followed by the singing of the National Anthem from Katie Collins.
Master of Ceremonies Shane Prater, the Director of Veteran Services for Campbell, will extend a welcome and special thanks to those attending. He will introduce the special speaker, Lieutenant Colonel Logan Hickman, U-S Army retired .
The Campbell County Honor Guard presentations include the American Flag Honor Guard, service flags and anthems and wreaths. The honor guard will salute our fallen veterans, play taps and conduct the 13 folds of the flag.

At the 2023 ceremony were three friends, veterans.
Closing remarks will be delivered by the Memorial Chairman, Leroy Morgan, CPO, U-S Navy, retired, Commander of the DAV.
The closing prayer will be by J.T. Asbury, honor guard chaplain.
Special thanks to the Campbell County Commandery for providing the refreshments for this event.
