Hershel Taylor, age 87, of LaFollette passed away on Wednesday, September 11. 2024. He was a member of Alder Springs Baptist Church and a member of Valley Star Masonic Lodge #577 F&AM. Preceded in death by wife: Geneva Thomas Taylor, Parents: Homer and Edman Jackson Taylor, brothers: Glen (Cotton) Taylor, sisters: June Mobley, Eurtha Davis.

Survived by:

Sons: Randy Taylor and wife Louvina, Ben Taylor and wife Suzanne

Grandchildren: David Siler, Charlotte Carr, Christopher Taylor, Benjamin Taylor, Carley Taylor Muncy and husband Robert

Great-grandchildren: Makayla Siler, Macie Siler, Ethan Carr and Jacob Carr

Brothers: Oglee Taylor, Eddie Joe (Herman) Taylor

Sister: Stella Bryant

Several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends

Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Friday, September 13, 2024 at Cross-Smith Funeral Home with service following at 8 PM at Cross-Smith Chapel, Rev. Steve Elkins officiating. Family and friends will meet 10 AM Saturday at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and proceed to Beeler Cemetery for 11 AM Graveside and Interment with Masonic Service by Valley Star Masonic Lodge #577 F&AM.
