‘My area of Florida was spared from the worst part of the hurricane’- State Representative Dennis Powers

DESTIN, FL (WLAF)- “While tornadoes sound like trains, the recent hurricane in Florida sounded like a constant ship horn that continued to blow most of the night (Thursday),” said State Representative Dennis Powers.

“Destin was spared the worst part of the storm. Â Unfortunately, most of Florida and the Southeast were hit the hardest, but Destin only suffered high winds and rain with no storm surge,” said Powers. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 09/27/2024-4PM-PHOTOS SUBMITTED)
