Mrs. Grace Stout Goins passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025, at the age of 94. Grace’s life was a story of serving others, adoration and love for her family, and resiliency. She was born August 14, 1931, in the Duff Community to the late Walter David and Della (Blankenship) Hill and surrendered her life to the Lord and was baptized at a young age. Attending church was a very important aspect in her life, and since 1952, Grace was a devoted member of LaFollette Methodist Church, where she was the last original member of the Joy Class. She was a lifelong bookkeeper who enjoyed cooking and watching sports, especially football and basketball, and was also an avid bowler. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Mr. Jack Stout, in 1976; second husband, Mr. Eugene Goins, in 2005; beloved grandson, Travis Cockerham; son-in-law, Joe Brown; sister, Lucille Hill, and brothers, Keith Hill and Harvey Hill.
She is survived by her daughters, Gail Herrin Brown, and Karen Miller and husband, Ric; son, David Stout and wife, Bess; grandchildren, Erin Moss, Janet Seiber (Johnny Mack), Cobie Herrin (Kyra), and Jessica Stout; great-grandchildren, Kade and Kody Cockerham, Reagan, Garrett, and Landon Moss, Tanner and Cooper Seiber, Maggie, Allie, and Rhett Herrin, Logan and Luke Broyles; 1 great-great-grandson, Kannon Cockerham; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, and “Mama Grace” to everyone who knew her.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at LaFollette Methodist Church. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 PM with Rev. Don Thomas and Rev. Dr. Chris Stanfield officiating. Family and friends will meet on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Woodlawn Cemetery for 11:00 AM Graveside Services and Interment. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to: LaFollette Methodist Church, 808 East Central Ave., LaFollette, TN 37766.
