Weather looking up for Campbell’s football game on Friday; WLAF has coverage

Much needed rainfall is expected to overspread the forecast area Wednesday into Thursday. La Follette, Campbell County and many locations will likely see over an inch of rainfall. A slight chance for flash flooding is highlighted for all of the plateau, extending north into southwest Virginia.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Soggy weather settles-in today under a low sky of mist, rain and fog, 78 the high. Strong to severe storm potential looms in the form of periods of heavy rainfall, flooding potential and damaging wind. Expect rounds of showers and thunderstorms today and tonight with a low of 68.

Additional rounds of rain and thunderstorms are expected today through Thursday. Very heavy rainfall will be possible at times, with localized flooding possible both Wednesday and Thursday. In addition, a few strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible each afternoon with damaging winds being the primary risk.
