Geraldine Simpson Brock, age 93, of Jacksboro, passed away on October 19, 2025, at Tennova-LaFollette Medical Center. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who spent most of her life caring for her family. She loved sewing, making crafts and watching Wheel of Fortune. She never missed a birthday; we could always count on receiving a birthday card from her. Even in her last days, she made sure not to miss a birthday, but her absolute greatest joy was seeing her grandchildren (all of them, great and great-great). She looked forward to each and every visit. Her most cherished title was “Mammaw”. To say she will be missed is such an understatement. The glue to our family is now gone.
She was preceded in death by parents, Oza Simpson Sr. and Bertha Simpson Tharpe, husbands Ronda Jeffers and Oscar Brock, daughter Regina Spradlin, Son-in-law Faron Allen, sisters Camille Simpson, Gladys Stephens, Vivian Byrd, brothers Oza Simson Jr. Ova Simpson, and H.L. Simpson.
Left behind to mourn her loss are daughters and sons-in-law Gail and Bill Gross, Kay Allen and Jeannie Powers and Frank Underwood, sons and daughters-in-law Greg and Donna Jeffers and Brad and Becky Brock. Grandchildren Melissa and Ron Piwarski, and Alicia and Johnny Medina, Sean Gross, Richard and Melinda Powers, Dwayne and Christy Allen, Crystal Butler, Selena and Chris Jackson, Lisa and Chance Martin, Kevin Jeffers, Dewayne Spradlin, Dakota Brock, Elijah Brock, and Reece-Anne Brock; 19 great grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; sister Mildred Moon; brother Buster Simpson; special family friends James and Rachel Boshears; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Martin Wilson Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with Bro. Dwayne Allen and James Boshears officiating. Burial will be Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Fairview Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
The family has entrusted the care of Geraldine Simpson Brock to Martin Wilson Funeral Home “Where Families Matter Most.”
