George E. Riggs, age 80, of Jacksboro passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

He was a Christian and retired from A & S Steel after 40 years. Preceded in death by wife: Margaret Clotfelter Riggs, son: John Riggs, granddaughter: Megan Wilson, parents: George and Nancy Riggs, brother: Ralph Riggs, sister: Thelma Smith

The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Cross-Smith Funeral Home with service to follow at 7 PM in Cross-Smith Chapel, Rev. Wade Walls officiating.

Family and friends will meet 10 AM Sunday, February 8, 2026 at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and proceed to Jacksboro Cemetery for 11 AM Interment.
