Gamble Motors was originally in Jacksboro.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Jim Gamble started his business, Gamble Motor Company, in Jacksboro more than 75 years ago. The dealership has out lasted many of the vehicles brands it sold.

Rambler, Edsel and Willys Overland Jeep are all gone, but Gamble Motor Company is still in business.

Through the 1950s, they were one of the top sellers of the Mercury brand.

Take a look at this 1949 Willys Overland Jeep ad, and check out the price on that brand new ride.

In June 1969,  Gamble Motor Company moved to the former Stuckey’s building in Lafollette and has been there for more than 57 years.

Today, Jim’s son, Jim is still operating the family business. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-01/08/2026-6AM)
