The successful 10th annual fundraiser theme was Big Orange Bigger Hearts

Cameron “Cam” Walker is the Senior Deputy Director of Athletics/Chief Strategy Officer for the University of Tennessee Athletics Department, and he guest spoke at the Children’s Center Dinner and Auction.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Special guest Cam Walker from the University of Tennessee Athletics Department entertained the crowd with sports stories of Vols Football at Tuesday night’s Children’s Center Dinner and Auction.

Many attendees, like Rhonda Longmire with Community Trust Bank, were decked out in their Tennessee orange.

Walker took us through a typical football gameday at Neyland Stadium for him. “I don’t eat much more than a few peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on gameday,” said Walker.

Melinda Wilson, a member of the Children’s Center Board of Directors, is not auditioning for the Price is Right, she’s showing off one of the many donated items that went home with someone Tuesday night.

At Saturday’s Georgia game, a 3:30pm kick-off, he arrived on campus at 8:30am and didn’t leave until almost 10pm. “I check-in with Josh (Football Coach Josh Heupel) and see what I can do, and then I’m at the stadium making sure all is moving along. During the game, I’m always on the sideline,” said Walker.

The ladies of Rickard Ridge Barbecue served a delicious meal.

Aside from talking Tennessee Athletics, Walker closed his visit with a heartfelt message for the work the staff at the Campbell County Children’s Center does for the children.

Three generations of Balls were on hand, Bill, Billy and Brody.
