 You’ll want to be extra careful while driving in the construction zone. This driver decided to travel west in the east bound lanes.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – While most of us were sleeping or, at least, off East Central Avenue, multiple crews jump started the east side of La Follette paving project. It stretches for a handful of miles from DeRoyal to Downtown at Indiana Avenue. WLAF’s Charlie Hutson shares photos of the progress, and much progress was made in the all out effort on opening night.

The project started on the east end near the DeRoyal Factory and goes to near Indiana Avenue.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of the month barring any unforeseen weather delays.

This milling up of the old pavement is taking place near Massachusetts Avenue just east of the hospital.
