Campbell entertains Blount Tue., Nov. 19, two varsity games, Lady Cougars and Cougars

The Campbell High, JMS, and LMS dance teams revved up the crowd.

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- The Campbell High Lady Cougars and Cougars, as well as La Follette and Jacksboro Middle Schools, participated in the annual Cougar Madness event at Campbell County High School on Friday night with Josh Parker hosting all the “madness”.

This brought together the community and introduced them to not only the basketball teams of the county, but also the cheer and dance teams.

The Cougars and Lady Cougars faced off against each other in a 3 point shootout, with Cougar Caden Heatherly being crowned champion.

Also, fans had their opportunity to knock down half-court shots for a small donation. Although not a fan, Lady Cougar Assistant Coach Adam Ellison got in on the fun and swished a high-arcing, half-court heave.

The La Follette Lady Owls

The cheer and dance teams for Campbell High, LaFollette Middle, and Jacksboro Middle performed phenomenal routines.

The first basketball broadcast on WLAF this season is The Battle of the Birds. Jacksboro travels to La Follette on Thursday. Tune in at 5:45pm for the Lady Eagles-Owls matchup, with the varsity boys to follow.

As for the Campbell Lady Cougars and Cougars, their first game is Tuesday November 19 at home against William Blount. Jason Kitts, in his fourth season at CCHS, and Ernie ‘Mac’ Clawson, who has coached at Campbell for half a decade, ready their Lady Cougars and Cougars respectfully. Coverage begins at 5:45pm with tip-off of the Lady Cougars being at 6. Clayton Carroll and Josh Parker return for another season of Campbell basketball over the WLAF Doyle’s Tire Sports Network, which consists of radio AM 1450, FM 100.9, TV 1089, YouTube, Facebook, Roku TV, Amazon Fire TV, Amazon  Alexa, and Twitch.
