Friday was Powers-Yager donation day for the Jellico Rescue Squad

JELLICO, TN (WLAF) – Local representatives Dennis Powers, State Representative, and Ken Yager, State Senator, were guests of the Jellico Rescue Squad on Friday evening. The guests came bearing gifts; checks.

The donations came about from Yager’s visit to the Jellico Rescue Squad last year after the squad started a fundraising campaign to expand its headquarters. Yager pledged to match dollar-for-dollar the first thousand dollars raised. Recently, Yager was called letting him know that first thousand had just been raised.

Last Friday, Yager made good on that promise and brought Powers along who jumped in with a $500 donation.
