‘I thought you had an active arrest warrant on me’- Robert Lee Womble, Sr.

DUFF, TN (WLAF) – The Campbell Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit and Detective Division converged on the grounds around a home (top photo) at Hatmaker Hollow late Thursday afternoon.

The investigators were already on the property when a white Ford truck pulled up to the house at 216 Hatmaker Hollow Lane at White Oak. As the truck drove up, a male allegedly jumped out of the passenger side running away from the home. Campbell Sgt. Jackie Heatherly chased Robert Womble, Sr., and caught up close enough to him to order him several times to stop. When Womble kept running, the sergeant deployed his Taser and took Womble down and into custody, according to the sheriff’s report.

A search of Womble revealed a blue round pill container allegedly holding a white baggie of needles and what was thought to be heroin, based on the report.

Sgt. Heatherly asked Womble why he ran. Womble stated he thought he had an active arrest warrant on him. And he did. It is out of Claiborne County.
