JACKSBORO, TN. (WLAF)- The four people responsible for the death of Rosezetta Wilson Morris have all pleaded guilty for their role in her Sept. 2023 death.
Morris was found dead at her home in the 500 block of West 4th Street in LaFollette. Her cause of death was determined to be an overdose caused by Fentanyl toxicity. During the course of the investigation, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Agents determined that Helena Wilson, Latasha Wilson, Christy Wilson, and Claude Collins were involved in distributing the drugs that caused Morris’ death.
In 2024, Latasha Wilson and Helena Wilson agreed they were guilty in Morris’ death. On Monday, the last two defendants, Collins and Christy Wilson, pleaded guilty.
Collins agreed he was guilty of reckless homicide. He was sentenced to serve four years at 85 percent with credit for time served, according to court records.
Christy Wilson pleaded guilty to reckless homicide. She was also sentenced to four years at 85 percent with credit for time served. She faced an additional charge of manufacture, delivery, sale, possession of a schedule II controlled substance. For this charge, Christy Wilson was sentenced to serve 10 years at 35 percent, court records said.
In April 2024, Latasha Wilson pleaded guilty to facilitation of second-degree murder.
She was sentenced to eight years in prison to be served at 30 percent, according to court records.
In Nov. 2024, Helena Wilson entered her guilty plea. She pleaded guilty to three charges.
Helena Wilson pleaded guilty to reckless homicide in which she was sentenced to four years at 85 percent; sale of a schedule II controlled substance (Fentanyl) and was given eight years to be served at 30 percent and delivery of a schedule II controlled substance. The last charge resulted in an eight year sentence to be served at 30 percent, according to court records.
