Fifteen applicants for DOS opening; more than half local

Local applicants are Adkins-Clemons, Collette, Foust, Lester, McCoy, Sexton, Sheckles, St. John

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Fifteen applicants seeking the open director of schools position for Campbell County submitted their applications by the day’s end, the deadline day. A note. James Sexton is known to most as Daniel Sexton while Howard St. John is called Joey by all.

The Tennessee School Board Association (TSBA) developed a model from all the surveys completed last month. A TSBA committee will match the criteria to the applicants. From there, the TSBA will send the Campbell County Board of Education its top three candidates. Next will come a public interview process and eventually the vote for the new director.
