PIONEER, TN (WLAF) – Reports coming in to WLAF News are that one person has died and another was transported by a medical helicopter to a Knoxville hospital this evening.

At 7:14 pm, the call of a three-vehicle wreck came in to E-911 Central Dispatch. The fatal mishap, involving a UPS truck, sources say, occurred on Highway 63/The Howard Baker Highway near the Pioneer Post Office.

It’s been reported that the UPS driver was airlifted. He’s expected to have surgery Wednesday morning.
