CCFRS Firefighters and LRS Responders went from a wreck to the house fire

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Just as crews with the Campbell County Rural Fire Service were packing up their equipment from answering a truck wreck call, they were paged to a house fire at 12:36am Sunday. Since the weather and conditions were so extreme, members of the La Follette Recue Squad left the scene of the wreck and went to the fire call with the CCRFS.
CCFRS Firefighters and LRS Responders went from a wreck on Indian River Boat Dock Road to the house fire on Pine Hollow Road at Pinecrest. “Everyone was out of the house when we pulled up. Their home was fully involved,” said CCRFS Chief Daniel Lawson.
The family was able to stay safe in their truck once they fled their burning home. The Red Cross was called to asssist.
In addition to fighting the fire, firefighters battled below zero wind chills and temperatures in the single-digits. They cleared the scene around 2:30am Sunday.

There were no injuries. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-02/01/2026-9AM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF CCRFS CHIEF DANIEL LAWSON)
