LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – “Possible traffic issues are ahead on Monday morning,” said Casey Boshears, La Follette’s Public Works Director. The plan is to close the outside lane of the four lane from Hunters Branch Road to the Rainbow Restaurant on the Jacksboro bound side.

Boshears said the project will start about 8:30am Monday after the school zone is finished. He thinks the project could run through Monday evening with the goal being to wrap it all up in one day if all goes without any unforeseen issues.

The bank, on the north side of the road, that holds the roadway has failed. The bank is sliding down. “The plan is to remove the loose dirt, lay down a barrier, then fill with rock and reroute some of the drainage. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 08/14/2023-6AM-UPDATED 08/14/2023-2PM)
