More work on north and south bound I-75 bridges at Vasper Hollow, Mile Marker 133

KNOXVILLE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF)– Motorists traveling on I-75 in Campbell County should be aware of upcoming bridge repair activities that will have a significant impact on traffic.

After extensive repairs were made to these bridges in the spring, you likely have noticed pot holes that have developed on the newly paved bridges.

Beginning at 7pm on Sun., Aug. 17, I-75 South will be reduced to one lane just past Exit 134 (Caryville/Jacksboro/La Follette).  In addition, starting at 7pm on Mon., August 18, I-75 North will have one lane closed at MM 133, just before Exit 134. These lane closures will be in place 24/7 and will allow crews to perform deck repairs to the bridges over Better Chanee Road and the R.J. Corman Railroad.

All bridge repair work is expected to be complete on or before 6am on Saturday, August 23.

This schedule is contingent on favorable weather conditions.  Motorists are advised to expect delays and use extreme caution in this area as workers will be present.

As always, drivers are reminded to use all motorist information tools wisely and “Know Before You Go!” by checking travel conditions before leaving for your destination.

Drivers should never tweet, text, or talk on a cell phone while behind the wheel.
