She is survived by the love of her life Luther Slover “Lukeâ€; children Selena Marie Adkins “Steppâ€, Justin Matthew Stepp; her fur babies Baybee Stepp, Leroy, Mr. Kitty Cat, and Martha Sue and kittens, Blue Boy; sisters Annette Smith and Patricia Sanders.
She battled Polycystic Kidney Disease for several years and she is suffering no more and has a new perfect body in Heaven.
She loved God first and foremost and was sometimes misunderstood on her ways of spreading the Gospel. She loved fishing, camping, and always being right. Music seemed to be her inspiration in life. She had a voice that needed no instruments to lead. She loved her children, gardening, feeding the birds, and rescuing all types of critters.
She was a member of online groups for music, animals, paranormal, and she tried to create askeerd.com.
She wanted to reach everyone with God’s word, whether having an agreeance or same vision. Elaine and her sister, Annette came together in God’s word, creating a “March for Jesusâ€, the first of its kind in Campbell County, in the 1990’s. Bringing unity to all religions in Campbell County. We all should take a page from her book or God’s word and create unity again. She held dear to her the memories of her family, raising her children wild and free on a mountain farm, memories of the 1970’s, which she said were great. She loved canning, cooking, creating anything for the holidays and making a big breakfast for the family after Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Elaine was cremated on July 22, 2024. A visitation will be held on Saturday August 10, 2024 from 5 PM to 6 PM in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home located at 305 East Beech Street LaFollette. A Celebration of Life will follow at 6 PM with Rev. Ben Neil officiating.
The family has entrusted the care of Elaine Inez Stepp to Martin Wilson Funeral Home “Where Families Matter Most.â€
