JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)– Saturday was the last day to early vote, and 217 votes were cast on that final day. The early voting season saw 2,609 votes. Election day is Thursday, August 1.

Friday marked the largest turnout in the early voting process with 325 ballots cast. The next biggest turnout was 297 on July 12, also a Friday. The lowest day’s turnout was 84 (July 13) followed by an 86 (July 20), both Saturdays, with the rest of the early voting days in triple digits.

  1. Why is it not said that early voting is less on Saturdays because they close at 1pm? I don’t want to loose our Saturdays to early vote because people think that no one goes those days. Just like fridays has more people voting because they are open 3 hrs longer
